My First Podcast / Audio Post!

Hi there peops! A few days ago Pat (Mr So Zo) and I recorded a little conversation which, through the application of science and magic, has be turned into a podcast! I am sharing it here as my first ever audio post. So, if you've got 10 minutes on your hands and fancy listening to me chat about Me-Made-May'13, pregnancy dressing and the like, just press play below.

Oh, and apologies for the pauses and excessive use of the word 'exciting', as you can tell this was entirely unscripted!

That's so not what I expected your voice to sound like, Zoe! I'm feeling the opposite of when you first see someone whose voice you know from radio. I'd like to hear more about why you feel that vintage style and maternity sewing aren't compatible for you. Really enjoyed your conversation, thanks for keeping me company while i made my lunch!

Hi Zoe. I enjoyed your chat. It rounds out what you write on your blog nicely. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy and baby! Sue

Hi Zoe, unscripted though it may have been, been your enthusiasm for promoting and championing Me-Made comes across very clearly. It's been interesting to see how your personal sewing has changed during your pregnancy, plus the way you meet the challenges of an ever changing silhouette helps in bringing Me-Made to a wider audience who can relate to Motherhood too.

Well done and keep up the good work lovely Lady :)!!

Much luv to you, you Pat n Bump, Claire x

It's lovely to hear your voice, and to get such an immediate sense of your enthusiasm for MMM, and for ethical consumerism. I know we get that from your writing, but hearing it in your own voice is much more, ummm, exciting!

Lovely to hear your voice, and a really interesting chat.

Just wanted to say thank you for the pattern I won in your MMM'13 giveaway, I couldn't believe it when it arrived this morning!

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments! I'm so glad that you enjoyed my little departure from convention!

@penelopean, if it's at all possible to explain, what did you expect my voice to sound like?!

Lots of love to you all

I enjoyed your audio-post. You are well-spoken and a treat to hear. Of course, now, I will be forced to read the blog to myself in your voice. My English accent is truly awful by the way... ;)

I really enjoyed listening to your podcast, your voice really sounds enthusiastic.
It was the unexpected things that I found tripped me up from trying to consume in an ethical fashion when I first had children but you've had so much practise and been doing it so long, I'm sure you'll be fine. I'm really looking forward to reading or hearing how you're planning for this.
I meant to comment one of your posts about the lovely dresses you're making, you could extend their use into post maternity wear by putting zips under the arms, sounds odd, but if the fit over the bust is not too structured it works well - they'd also cover the middle regions until everything has gone back where it belongs!

I'm always pleasantly surprised to hear different accents! If I had even thought about it, I guess it wouldn't have been a surprise but I always just imagine people with my accent. :)
Very sweet to hear you guys.

I'm excited to see how you do outfitting a me-made baby, but it seams like second hand clothes are available in abundance for that age because they grow so quickly.

I enjoyed listen to this! I really like the conversational approach to the podcast. It kept the pace at a good rate and provided flow to it.

I really enjoyed listening, too! It's nice to get a glimpse of the actual person behind what you see and read on a blog. It just feels so much more authentic! Plus, like everyone else said, you can feel your genuine enthusiasm for all the things that you normally write about. I'll be interested to see how baby gets dressed, though I agree with Hazel above, that second-hand clothes are probably best, at least for the first couple of years when they grow so quickly and need to get changed so frequently.

I'm with penelopean, too... I somehow expected you to have a more husky voice, which I guess is the type of voice I connect with the style of clothes you wear. But your real voice is just lovely! :) lisa

I'm with penelopean - your voice was so different to what I'd imagined. You sound so young (not that you look old!), I guess I expected a deeper pitch. I'm not sure what sort of accent I expected but listening to you was a total surprise. I wonder how differently I'll read your blog now.

I wish I had a cool accent. :(

Hello Zoe, great podcast - it was my first ever podcast :) I think it is so so wonderful that you upkeep a sustainable wardrobe and I completely agree with you to take that life pledge! Also, its funny how ppl think ethics/eco values head out the door when you have kids, although I am young and not a mum I dont believe this is true at all, I hope you prove them wrong and be a leader in the pack of raising a child with ethical fashion values too! thanks for being awesome!

I had to comment that I loved listening to you and your passions. Very well done, so nice to put a voice to what I read! I have admired your ethics and style for quite a long while! Thanks to Pat for the encouraging questions!

So crazy to put a voice to your face. Even though I know you are English, for whatever reason I really did not expect you to have an English accent.
