Listen up peops! If you'd like to take part in the Me-Made-May challenge this year, the sign ups will begin in a couple of weeks. You'll be able to sign up and specify your personal pledge between 1st April and 30th April. So head back here then (if not before!) to find the signing up post with FULL details on the hows and whys of participating.
In the meantime, why not have a little think about how you might like to improve the relationship you have with your handmade clothing? Asking yourself some of the following questions might help:
- What have you made that doesn't get worn?
- Why don't they get worn?
- What things do you currently wear the majority of the time (be they self-stitched or shop bought)?
- What clothes/outfits make you feel comfortable?
- What clothes/outfits make you feel special?
- What clothes/outfits make you feel 'you'?
- If you've participated in these challenges before, what did you learn from completing your previous pledge/s?
I really look forward to reading all your pledges from 1st April, whether you have participated in these challenges in the past or it'll be your first time! Here's to #mmmay15.

Yay!! I'm in! Weirdly enough, this morning I was just thinking about MMMay and what this year's pledge would look like. Synchronicity!
Woo hoo! MMM has crossed my mind every so often for the past couple of week, and I've already started wondering what my pledge should be this time around! :) Lisa
I've been thinking about this too! Mostly in terms of whether I can actually do it this time, given that I'll be about 8 months pregnant and don't have very many me-mades (or anything else) that will fit. But I'll continue considering this, and if I can't play along myself this time, at least I can have fun following along!
I'm like Becky, I'll be nine months pregnant in May! Makes MMM a big challenge this year :)
Its crazy that its almost here again! Last year was my first, but I look forward to it again already.
I am soooo looking forward to this - will think over your questions and dign up soon....
Woo Hoo! I wasn't able to participate last year, but this year it's my personal reboot! :)
Not much point me doing this as I would be wearing the same things almost every day. Looking forward to reading all the posts though. Xx
Looking forward to participating for the first time this year. The only reason I've hesitated in the past is that living in Australia, I never know what the weather will be like in May, and my summer wardrobe has way more me mades than my winter wardrobe.
Excited!
Hooray! MMM is such fun.
I absolutely can't wait to receive more information about MMM15! I couldn't take part last year because I was pregnant and was too tired to make anything. But i'm definitely gonna take a stab in this this year!
Yay!! Cannot wait!!
I've watched MMM come & go every year and always wanted to take part. I now have a sencha blouse practice toile sitting on my desk, waiting for me to adjust the fit. I might not get there this year with only a single hand-made item of sewing, but next year I am definitely taking part!
Yay, I'm looking forward to it! Last year was so cold I wore knit sweater mostly. Hopefully this year will be a bit more diverse.
im in like Flynn! I've made all these dresses recently which I thought id be able to wear already but the coolness of Autumn is yet to hit for us so im still wearing summer clothes! Hopefully its cool enough by May!
I'll be there again for sure. This year may be easier for me because I won't be travelling, for the first time since I joined in 2012!
super excited about participating again!!
Getting excited already, thanks for hosting it again, your a star!
I've never taken part in Me Made May before, but I'm thinking that this year might be the year. I always seem to have too many cocktail dresses and not enough clothes for everyday though, hopefully by May I'll have managed to whip up a few more tops and trousers!
Hi Zo! I haven't joined in for ages, but think I will this year, because it'll be a real challenge for me... I donated or sold most of my sewn stuff before our move.. I only brought a few Handmade items... so I'll get sewing and see what I've got! Might be a lot of repeating!
