Mine came out pretty good, really comfortable, bit not quite good enough to wear out of the house. I think it was my fabric choice. I guess I need to try again because yours are awesome!sew rachel!https://www.blogger.com/profile/06569084994328220284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2464662522153586853.post-2865972379443608612013-05-12T14:19:06.636+01:002013-05-12T14:19:06.636+01:00I think the hardest part of pregnency dressing is ...I think the hardest part of pregnency dressing is finding comfy pants that look great. Double...Ah, these look so handy and so comfortable! Doubleknit trouser-leggings have been on my "must get round to sewing" list for a while (I'm very much not pregnant, just like comfort...!)

For the waistband, have you considered using a really wide folded waistband, like you get in yoga trousers? I find that style of waist really comfortable, and it avoids the gatheriness and digging in of elastic, but I guess it would only work if the fabric was reasonably stretchy. I would imagine it would be pretty good for accommodating a pregnant belly, and you'd have the choice of wearing it up over the bump with shorter tops or to provide support, or folded down and under the bump with longer tops.Dillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13715013290288339298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2464662522153586853.post-82988212717459763432013-05-12T11:51:57.257+01:002013-05-12T11:51:57.257+01:00Your jeggings/treggings sound like a fantastic gar...Your jeggings/treggings sound like a fantastic garment! :) I do like wearing leggings with my tunic tops, but I have some shorter ones that only just cover my bum and the leggings fabric is a bit unforgiving... I'll have to be on the lookout for black doubleknit/stretchy jeggins fabric!Alessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16605755512224178329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2464662522153586853.post-66368535455674112072013-05-12T11:23:48.986+01:002013-05-12T11:23:48.986+01:00Leggings/jeggins are indeed a godsend when pregger...Leggings/jeggins are indeed a godsend when preggers. I couldn't have done it without them, so am tres jealous of your tregging version. Ironic that as you are making/adapting normal clothes into pregnancy ones, I am doing the opposite with my vast stash of maternity wear - spending ages staring and pinning and folding, whilst attempting to take out the maternity-ness and transform them into normal clothes. Mixed results so far! flossie jamiesonhttp://flossiejamieson.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2464662522153586853.post-82592243560056331552013-05-12T08:01:37.556+01:002013-05-12T08:01:37.556+01:00They've worked out really well! I loved them - but they didn't love me and kept falling down so they had to go.
I hope your bump adjustments work well as you expand. I confess that I spent a large part of the latter months pulling all my trousers up and tops down!!Louise - There She Sewshttp://thereshesews.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
